Kèr J̼ày̼ibun (/ˈj̼əj̼i/ /bun/ [winery] [former]) is a subtropical Town located in the Tewqàrbedbù County of the Picham Community.

The name Kèr J̼ày̼ibun is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr J̼ày̼ibun was founded by Whuldrotir Y̼ùco, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr J̼ày̼ibun has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 33°C (91°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 16°C (60°F). Kèr J̼ày̼ibun receives an average of 209 cm/y (82 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Kèr J̼ày̼ibun covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1816 m (5958 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr J̼ày̼ibun was founded durring the late 15th century in fall of the year 1386, by Whuldrotir Y̼ùco. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Kèr J̼ày̼ibun was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr J̼ày̼ibun is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Kèr J̼ày̼ibun is is constructed arround a semi-circular crampt paverstone mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's peasent-grade have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Kèr J̼ày̼ibun is a bustling hive of activity. Everyone moves at nothing short of a jog, each convocation is a mile a minute, and there’s dedicated lanes for riding through town in the center of each street. The locals all appear to be not merely occupied, but in a true hurry for everything from drinking a pint of ale to their daily work.

Cultural Notes

Kèr J̼ày̼ibun's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used which employed abundant symbolic geometry, using pure forms such as the circle and square, and plans are based on often symmetrical layouts featuring rectangular courtyards and halls. These structures were is decorated with carved stone or stucco reliefs and made use of colorful stone mosaics..

In Kèr J̼ày̼ibun most nights are accompanied by colorful ribbons of light in the sky.

The Trollkin near Kèr J̼ày̼ibun are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Kèr J̼ày̼ibun's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves line dance to channel Chronomancy energies of tier 2 via oath swearing.

Kèr J̼ày̼ibun is a major trade hub, connecting several important cities or resource production areas. It’s probably at an important river juncture, ancient crossroads, or occupying the only safe path through some perilous wilderness. Its position may be important enough that it can survive on trade alone, despite being unable to feed itself with the surrounding land. Such hubs are usually heavily garrisoned by the lord who profits from their tariffs and taxes.

Due to a magical anomaly, Kèr J̼ày̼ibun is directly accessible from a nearby river, despite the lack of a physical connection between the town's pond and the river.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Kèr J̼ày̼ibun was attacked by soldiers from another nation, with orders to raid Kèr J̼ày̼ibun. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Kèr J̼ày̼ibun lost 148 people, 161 livestock, and 87 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 32, when members of Kèr J̼ày̼ibun's militia enacted an operation to destroy a particular enemy war supplies. The operation was complicated by the officer in charge of Kèr J̼ày̼ibun's forces was incompetent, and issue many foolish and-or unprofessional orders. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in a stalemate for Kèr J̼ày̼ibun's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Kèr J̼ày̼ibun's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
